Starting over after her divorce at age 45, Vicki takes a job as a campground host at a small campground in Alaska. She loves her new life and quickly makes friends with her neighbor at the campsite next door, sweet hippie Miranda. Soon Miranda’s long-haired dachshund Barksley has adopted Vicki as his own doggo aunt.
But when Miranda’s camp is robbed, Vicki must turn sleuth, find the culprit, and return the stolen items to her new friend. And along the way she must solve the most puzzling mystery of all: why didn’t Barksley, the most vocal of little dogs, alert the entire campground when the robber broke into Miranda’s tent?
